Manage dependents for a member

View and update dependent information, including demographic data and benefit associations, from a member's profile in Health Wallet Manager.

As an admin, you can view and manage dependent information for members directly in the Health Wallet Manager. This includes editing demographic data, associating dependents with the benefits a member is actively enrolled in, and deactivating and reactivating dependents. Dependents can only be associated with benefits the member is actively enrolled in.

Note
Card issuance for dependents is not available in Health Wallet Manager at this time. To view or reissue family cards, go to the Cards tab in the member's profile.

Note for admins managing multiple organizations

Choose the appropriate organization or division from the Organizations tab before following the steps below.

View a member's dependents

Here’s how to access and view a member’s dependent:

  • Select the Organizations tab and choose the appropriate organization.

  • Select Members and choose the member you want to review.

  • Select the Dependents tab to view all dependents associated with the member's account.

For each dependent, you'll see:

  • Name and date of birth

  • Relationship with dependent (spouse, child, or other)

  • Social security number (SSN)

  • Associated benefits

Edit dependent demographic information

If a dependent's information needs to be corrected, you can update it directly from their profile.

  • From the member's Dependents tab, select the dependent you want to update.

  • Update the relevant fields: name and date of birth.

  • Select Save Changes.

Associate a dependent with a benefit

Dependents can be associated with any benefit the member is actively enrolled in. A dependent cannot be associated with a benefit the member does not have.

  • From the member's Dependents tab, select the dependent you want to update.

  • Choose the Benefits tab.

  • Select the benefit(s) you want the dependent to be enrolled in.

  • Select Save Changes.
